The Right Approach to Life

I grew up in Norway. My bedroom backed up to an Apple Garden and every summer morning I woke to the window being slightly tilted open, the sun shining in, and me feeling clean, happy, and curious about what I was going to do that day.

I would lay in bed for a while and just marvel at how awesome the day was going to be and what I was going to do with it.

No plans, no directions, no one telling me what to do, just my own imagination and determination to have fun, play, and discover.

I think this is the right approach to life. Be a kid and let kids be kids.

I always wish I had more of my childhood and is the primary guide for everything else I do with my life.

So what did all this freedom and exploration ever get me? Well for one thing it got me 2 college internships with Accenture, along with the other top 2 candidates from MIT, Stanford, University of Michigan, Cornell, and Duke.

I’m also pretty excited about seeing what I’m going to do tomorrow.

Perhaps freedom and exploration is the best professor. Progress on things we value comes from the desire to have more fun.
