Ginger Root as a Natural Sleep Aid

The first time I discovered that Ginger Root works a natural sleep aid is when I was cutting up some raw root and just eating it a night before bed.

My sleep was longer and heavier.

Last night I had a huge bowl of the bone broth I just made and I put two whole thinly sliced Ginger Roots in it. It knocked me out and I woke up the next morning at 11 am, and I usually wake up around 6 am.

The other ingredients are:

  • chicken drumstick bones
  • steak bones
  • fresh celery
  • fresh ginger root
  • fresh turmeric
  • black whole peppercorns
  • ceylon cinnamon bark
  • fresh garlic
  • onion
  • lots of salt

I let it simmer for 2 days.

If I wanted to make it even healthier I would add drops of Lugols Iodine 2%.

First of all, we eat too much , but this we have heard said often before. And we eat the wrong kinds of foods and drink the wrong kinds of liquids. Most of the harm is done by overeating and under-exercising, which bring about toxic conditions in the body and make it impossible to throw off the accumulated poisons.
